Warranty Information

Many of E.A.R.’s custom products come with a warranty for fit as well as repair and service. If you need to verify your warranty status, please call our office at 1-800.525.2690  or 1-303.447.2619  Monday – Friday 8:00 am – 4:30 pm MT.

Please include your Invoice, Sales Receipt or Transaction Number.

If you are trying to reach us outside of our working hours, our Customer Service Department will return your inquiry during normal business hours of operation.

E.A.R. extends a 30 day fit warranty on any custom-fit Chameleon Ears™.  This allows the end user to use the Chameleon Ears™ in their environment or application, and address any fit issues they feel need to be reviewed, and or addressed.

This warranty does not cover accessories, including filters, tubing and cords. Appearance changes due to normal wear and tear are not considered defects. Damage due to accidents, abuse, misuse, or neglect is excluded from this warranty (includes initial trial periods).

Remake Policy

E.A.R. extends 1 year remake policy at no additional charge from the invoice date for any of the Chameleon Ears™ product due to failure of materials or workmanship. In addition, E.A.R. will remake Chameleon Ears™ within 30 days of the invoice date under the following circumstances:

  1. Chameleon Ears™ were lost in the mail
  2. Manufacturing error was made
  3. Fit-issue was determined and verified

No-charge remakes are not available under the following circumstances:

  1. Incorrect information supplied on the order form
  2. Feedback or fit problems arise after the 30 days
  3. The Chameleon Ears™ were lost or stolen
  4. A change of style or product is requested – example half shell to full shell, change of color

Any Chameleon Ears™ in question of warranty coverage must be sent to E.A.R. for final determination. Upon receipt E.A.R.  will evaluate the Chameleon Ears™ and grant a warranty policy replacement if deemed to be fall into one of the three circumstances noted previously.

Please note that open style Chameleon Ears™ are not guaranteed against feedback.

Our iPlugz® Pro are covered from material defects or workmanship issues for a period of 6 month (Limited) from the original shipping date.

6 Month Limited Warranty Explanation:

Warranty does not cover damages caused by the following reasons:

  1. Any physical, or device damage caused by accident, abuse, misuse, water intrusion/submersion, ear wax, excessive volume, shock, negligence, misuse, acts of God, and/or misapplication of the product.
  2. Damage caused by any unauthorized 3rd party company or person which has resulted in modification or alteration without the written permission of the E.A.R., Inc..
  3. Any defect that is attributable to any damage or misuse, which is beyond the reasonable control of E.A.R. This warranty does not cover accessories or appearance changes due to normal wear/tear and use, and would not be consider a “defect” in the product.

If a product is returned for review, we will replace the product at our discretion. Or, explain the charges necessary to fix the device and bring it back up to working specs.

Some states do not allow the exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential damages, or allow limitations on how long an implied warranty lasts, so the above limitation may not apply to you.

E.A.R. 30 Day Fit Guarantee

E.A.R. extends a 30 day fit warranty on any custom-fit iPlugz® Sports Monitors. This allows the end user to use their sports monitors in their environment or application, and address any fit issues they feel need to be reviewed, and/or resolved. An RMA form needs to be filled out and the product sent back to E.A.R. within 30 days post receipt of your order to be covered by the 30 Day Fit Guarantee. International customers must send their order back within 45 days post receipt of the order. RMA forms can be requested by email, or giving us a call.

E.A.R. warrants that for a period of 6 months, from the date of purchase and shipment, the OTS product is free from defects in material and factory workmanship.  If you purchased an OTS from and Authorized Provider, please contact the Authorized Provider first to allow him/her to inspect the product.  Your Authorized Provider is responsible to file a warranty claim with E.A.R.  E.A.R. will inspect the OTS product at our facility and will repair or replace, at E.A.R.’s sole option, if the product is defective.  The warranty is voided if any repair or replacement is made or attempted on any OTS product by anyone other than any authorized E.A.R. personnel at E.A.R.’s facility without prior written consent, if the product has been altered by the customer, or if there has been any misuse or misapplication of the OTS product.

If the failure mode is determined to be a warranty issue (due to materials, workmanship from the factory), the product will be replaced at no charge back to the Authorized Provider.  If the failure is determined to be a non-warranty issue, the OTS will be returned to the provider.  At E.A.R.’s discretion, minor rework may be performed after contact is made with the customer to ensure an understanding of how the failure occurred.

This is why we have one of the best warranty programs in the industry and want you to enjoy your new purchase for years to come. As a result, we offer affordable ways to keep your unit(s) running well throughout their lifetime.

Your new E.A.R. hearing protection unit(s) are warranted against defects in materials and workmanship from the date of manufacturer’s invoice.

All custom-fit electronics carry either a  24 month warranty or a 36 month warranty.  E.A.R.’s non-custom Mini-Canal™, Quick-Fit™, SHS™, ShotHunts or Mini Canal Combos as well as other non-custom electric units are warranted for 1 year.  During the warranty period, we will repair the hearing protection unit(s) should it prove to be defective in materials or workmanship. If the hearing protection unit(s) cannot be repaired, it will be replaced with a comparable product. The warranty period is not extended when we repair or replace a warranted component within the warranty period.

This warranty does not cover accessories, including ear molds, tubing, cords, and batteries or corrosion due to batteries left inside the shell. Appearance changes due to normal wear and tear are not considered defects. Damage due to accidents, abuse, misuse, or neglect is excluded from this warranty (includes initial trial periods).

Tampering and attempted repairs by unauthorized personnel voids warranty coverage. Instruments with missing or altered serial numbers are excluded from this warranty. This warranty does not include a promise of specific hearing improvement.

This warranty is exclusive, and is in lieu of all other warranties, express or implied, including but not limited to, the implied warranties of merchant-ability or fitness for a particular purpose.

E.A.R.’s flagship line of custom electronics which includes the E.A.R. Digital Advantage; E.A.R. Digital Basic, E.A.R. Digital Basic Multi-Memory, E.A.R. Digital Plus; E.A.R. Digital Plus Multi-Memory, E.A.R. Digital Primo and E.A.R. Digital Primo Multi-Memory do carry a 30 day money back guarantee.  If for any reason you are not satisfied with one of these products, E.A.R. will guarantee a full refund.

E.A.R.’s non-custom electronics which includes  Mini-Canal™, Quick-Fit™, SHS™, ShotHunts or Mini Canal Combos do carry a 30 return and refund policy on the electronics only.  There is a 10% restock fee for the return of any of these non-custom electronic units.

We want you to enjoy your units for as long as you can and to maximize this effort we extend a One Year Fit Warranty to your custom-fit electronic earplugs. This means that within your first year of use, if for any reason you develop a fit issue, we will remake the shell at no charge. All we ask is for  new impressions to be taken, by your local audiologist or your nearest E.A.R. Authorized Provider, and sent to us for a remake.

This warranty only applies for the first year of ownership and will not be applicable to extended warranty or loss protection plans.

The above warranty periods only apply to items sold through E.A.R. or its respective Authorized Providers. Warranties through retail accounts are stated within packaging and may vary from the above stated time periods.

E.A.R. extends a “Loss Protection Plan” towards most of our custom electronic units within the first year of ownership. This plan covers you if your item is lost or stolen by replacing them with an identical unit. If the lost or stolen unit(s) are recovered and are sent in for repair, they will be returned as “unserviceable” or destroyed and recorded into our system as “recovered and considered lost” merchandise.

E.A.R. also offers an extended warranty plan to insure your custom units additional service without the headaches beyond the manufacturers expired warranty date. This plan keeps your units up to date and covers you for any repair work necessary.  Please contact our office to find out more about purchasing an extended warranty.  This purchase must be made at the time of initial purchase of the units.

Warranty Information: 30 Day Non-Adapt – E.A.R. allows you 30 days to test drive the intraSPX™ insert. If for any reason you’re not completely satisfied, just send the insert back and you will receive a refund for the cost of the inserts.

60 Day Rx Change – If your doctor changes your prescription within 60 days of your purchase, simply send the intraSPX™ insert back to us with your new prescription and we will remake new inserts at no charge.

1 Year Mounting – If the lenses on your inserts loosen or detach, we will remount the lenses at no charge for up to one year from the date of purchase.  After one year we will remount the lenses for $15.00.
