Designed to handle any situation, these Tactical "Specialized Hearing Systems" (SHS) combine the best in hearing enhancement technology and radio communications into a single "standard" behind-the-ear unit. It is the ideal system for SWAT tactical entry teams looking for comfort and convenience in one simple lightweight design.

Within each Tac SHS SWAT earpiece, the specialized circuitry brings louder sounds to a safe level while dramatically enhancing softer sounds. This creates a constant balance between amplification and safety while using them in tactical entry or first response requirements. During tense raids and forced entry events with flash bangs and/or tear gas, these units are considered to be the ultimate in low profile earpiece design and high definition performance.

Tac SHS I (Basic) - This unit is designed with an adjustable volume control and memory button switch. The memory button allows the user to switch the unit into a "mute" mode when necessary and then push the button again to turn the unit back into an "enhancement-protection" mode. The Tac SHS I unit is a very good unit for those teams looking for a smaller electronic headset to connect with a throat-mic, shoulder-mic or surveillance system. Tac SHS II (w/"manual telecoil") - This unit is designed exactly the same as the Tac SHS I unit is except it will feature a manual telecoil component. When the user wants to use this unit in a "wireless" communication application, they will switch the memory into this second setting. This will allow the unit to receive wireless audio communications from an induction loop system. (See our Surveillance Systems section within our Law Enforcement/Military webpages.) It can also be attached and used with other systems in a "hard wired" configuration. Available in Tactical Black, Army Brown, and Sand Tan*.

Tac SHS III (w/Active Telecoil, 3 ATC Controls) - This unit merges the function of the "wireless" communication aspect into one single "enhancement/protection and wireless audio" mode. Which means that the user will hear the radio communications as well as their outside enhancement at the same time. Meaning no switching back and forth as in the Tac SHS II unit. This unit will feature three memory modes - 1) enhancement-protection, 2) active telecoil/enhancement-protection, 3) mute. Again, these units will need to work with an induction loop system in order to understand and hear the radio traffic correctly. They can also be used in a "hard wired" configuration if desired. Available in Tactical Black, Army Brown, and Sand Tan*.

Tac SHS IV (Speech Enhancement) This unit is built with the same characteristics as the SHS III but is programmed with Speech Enhancement software. This means better clarity in the "speech" range for understanding conversation in the field. This unit will also have an additional memory programmed into its circuit to reduce unwanted background sounds and wind noise. The memories will switch as follows - 1) enhancement-protection, 2) background reduction enhancement-protection, 3) active telecoil/enhancement-protection, 4) mute. Again, these units will also need to work with an induction loop system in order to understand and hear the radio traffic correctly in the "wireless-telecoil" mode. They can also be used in a "hard wired" configuration if desired. Available in Tactical Black, Army Brown, and Sand Tan*.

Tac SHS V (Directional Mics) - This unit builds on the foundations of the Tac SHS IV but adds an additional fifth memory program to the circuit board that allows the user to focus the mics to what they see in front of them. The memories would be as follows - 1) enhancement-protection, 2) background reduction enhancement-protection, 3) directional mic enhancement-protection, 4) active telecoil/enhancement-protection, 5) mute. Again, these units will also need to work with an induction loop system in order to understand and hear the radio traffic correctly in the "wireless-telecoil" mode. They can also be used in a "hard wired" configuration if desired. Available in Tactical Black, Army Brown, and Sand Tan*.

Tac SHS Hunter (Waterproof Hunter) - This completely waterproof unit is an analog unit with a manual telecoil. It was developed to help those search and rescue teams needing the waterproof aspects and durability. It is truely the only electronic "waterproof" earplug in the world. Available in a black/tan shell.
